Post The Nintendo PlayStation
Thought some of you might get a kick out of this blast from the past, circa 1993:

I can remember at one point going "where is it? when's it coming out already?" and then nothing. I was sad until the Playstation came out and then I was all better again.

It doesn't help that Sony was totally looking forward to working with Nintendo, then Nintendo shockingly announced that they would be working with Philips instead, which brought forth one of the worst-executed consoles ever, with Zelda CD-I games to boot.

"The main memory -- just the main memory, you understand -- used by the RISC is a whopping eight megabits. That's the size usually reserved for the entire data-storage area of a cartridge game such as Star Fox!"

"There's a 32-bit RISC co-processor at the heart of Nintendo's little wonder that runs at 21.447MHz, more than eight times the speed of the 3.58MHz processor that's in the Super Nintendo."

SNES was only 3.58MHz? :nerdlove:

At the time, that line about Star Fox got me wondering how awesome this machine would be. I mean, the main memory is the size of the entire game of Star Fox?!

Oh yeah? The Sega Saturn has THREE 32bit processors. You can't take advanced computer graphics from arcade games and run it on home computers, but you can do that on Saturn. Neither the Nintendo 64 or Playstation are as powerful as the Saturn.

I am a big fan of Nintendo DSI Xl playstation but from couple of weeks my play station got scratches and damages in the buttons. Do you think I should be using Nintendo skin cover for protection is a good idea?
