Really, you think it deserves its own thread? There's not much to go on at this point.

I'm digging what I see and I'll buy it when it comes out. Unfortunately that's probably five years out and I may possibly have kids before I actually lay hands on this game :P

It looks like I'm going to have to clean off my desk so I can find my copy of Diablo II to reinstall and play yet again because I don't think I can wait.

Oh hey, there it is!

Same I'm doing that tomorrow. A friend of mine is already gathering names for a Diablo 3 clan.

Rofl, I did the exact same thing. I pulled the car out of the garage to sort through boxes I haven't opened in three years. It took me about an hour to find my D2 install discs but it was worth it. I've been playing for the last three hours. Bowazon ftw.

Any of you guys wanna fire up the old b.net and level some lowbies together? I'll be around during the day tomorrow.

I'm really happy the music seems pretty similar to the old stuff and well, overall it just looks like Diablo. Definitely excited.

Though I'm personally more hyped for Starcraft 2 still, but hey the more the better!

Interesting idea. I've never actually played D2 online before.

me either...I think I'm about to though.

Would having the LoD expansion make any difference as far as being able to play together?

I'm thinking about picking up the Battle Chest tomorrow so I can get the expansion. That and my D2 disks have been though hell.

I just about had a heart attack because I opened up my CD case for D2, and the install and cinematics discs were in there, but not the play disc. I found it in a pile of CDs in a basket under some papers. I didn't put it there.

Child and/or spousal abuse ensues.

Yes, I don't think non-expansion players can join expansion games, which any games would be.

Get LOD anyway, assassins are badassass. AoE knockbacks are win.

Well if everyone only installed the original then Chunk could play.

Well then, problem solved.

Also, you can now register your Blizzard games at the Blizzard Store and gain access to a downloadable version. If that's something that tickles your fancy.

I was just making sure we were all on the same page. I didn't want to install LoD and find out you guys hadn't.

Regardless, I'm going to have to do that tomorrow. My eyes are crossing.

Wow, this is awesome. I have my CDKeys neatly taped in my giant CD wallet. The CDs, on the other hand... not so easily located.

It looks good.. for a Diablo game. I got bored of them quickly enough, though it is addicting in a mindless collect-and-level-up-forever sort of way. I always thought they were aesthetically really cool as 2d isometric games, and that the 3d just makes it look like any other damn game. Too flashy, not dark enough.

I'd love to play with you guys. I'm going into town in the morning to buy D2 and it's expansion, if they have it.

Just got home with the Battle Chest. So I'm ready to play if anyone else is.

Yeah, the news inspired me to break out my D2 discs too. I played it quite a bit years back and had a 80ish sorceress. Reinstalling it again, and seeing the screen resolution it's limited to makes it seem so much more dated now, and very much due for a sequel. One of the things I do like about it is that you can fire it up and play it for 10 minutes or so, which you can't really do with WoW so much. After being accustomed to the complexity of WoW's combat system, it's nice to be able to just spam my mouse button and mow down waves of mobs. =P

Who wants to hit b.net? I'll be in the Metroid Metal chatroom for rendezvous.
