Start the hype train now. February 17th is a month away!

I reserved the CE today for 360. Who's getting it on what system? And has anybody seen this yet?

That...was badass. I like how the story is going to be more obvious in this game. I also like the character choices, although I'm disappointed that Abel is not the same Abel from the Alpha games. The voice acting sounds pretty good too...except Chun Li. "Don't hit me too hard!" And I hate the way they say Akuma's name...Uh-KOO-muh...

What's the difference between the 360 and PS3 version? I don't have a PS3 so naturally I'll be getting the 360 version, but I'm curious.

No difference, as far as I know. Oh, except the US collector's editions have a different figurine (Ryu for PS3, C. Viper for 360).

I'm not really feeling some of the voices. Ryu sounds like a pansy. Akuma should sound more guttural and overall badass. Some of the voices are really fitting though. Cammy sounds deliciously British (and sexy), I love the accents that El Furete, Vega, and Zangief have. E. Honda doesn't have an accent, but I'm not sure if he's actually American or Japanese. I didn't expect Chun Li to have an accent since she's an Interpol agent.

I did some research, and the guy who does the voice of Seth was also Margulis in Xenosaga, and has also done voices for lots of other video games and animes.

For someone like me that is NOT THAT GOOD as SF, I don't want my inability to perform a move to come from shitty controls. I probably pull off half of the moves I go for, and if I had a stick or even an SNES controller, my life would be much easier. It doesn't seem to be a problem for spook, who can Sonic Boom his way to Japan, but I just can't seem to pull much off, and my thumb aches by the end.

And FORGET playing online.

I'm looking forward to picking up the SF4 pad when it comes out. I just hope the dpad is reasonable. I'm looking forward to reviews.

The 360 dpad has always been much maligned as I understand.

With the PS3 I'm finding it, at least on SSF2THDR, to be as good as the old SNES pad.

I'm gonna get one of those Mad Catz Street Fighter Fightpads. I can't play with the Xbox controller not because of the Dpad, but because of the shoulder buttons. This is the closest thing to the Genesis six-button controller which I grew up using. I just hope it's actually quality, because we all know how Mad Catz stuff can be...

I remember reading that the SFIV devs approved all three controllers. I'm probably going for a standard FightStick if I can get one.

Playing Guilty Gear XX with the PS2 controller gave me blisters in 10 minutes because that D-Pad is garbage; why is it pointy on the inside?!

On Amazon, where I'll likely buy it, it says the collector's edition comes with 5 downloadable characters. Is that 5 new characters or 5 costumes/skins for the default character set?

Thx.

Also I found the prices on deepdiscount to be the best on the collector's edition so that is the way I'm going.

I don't see why everyone uses dpads anyway. I use the analog stick and it works out just fine. I mean, it's the same motions you'd be using if you had an arcade stick.

Tried it. There's something about having my thumb elevated for a 2D twitch game that throws me off.

Yeah, you're not moving the arcade stick with just your thumb.

That's not the point, the motions are the same. If you're trying to find something on the controller that is the closest match to an arcade stick, then the analog stick is it.

I'd say it's an all-or-nothing situation. Big hand movements or tiny thumb movements, not big thumb movements.

The Xbox dpad is a big movement.
