 New Periphery album. (necro)
Periphery just officially announced their new vocalist, and they posted a sampler track from their album which should come out on April 20th. I'm pretty excited. http://www.myspace.com/periphery

 Re: New Periphery album.
Yea I almost bumped the old Periphery thread with the news. I larfed. At this rate they won't have a chance to release an album, they'll always have to re-record new singers. This guy is alright, he can sing the high notes that's for sure. I'm sad their current tour with Animals as Leaders is coming nowhere near here.

 Re: New Periphery album.
The closest they are coming to me is the first date in east ridge, TN. I want to go but I have work that day and I can't get anyone to drive 4 hours with me.

 Re: New Periphery album.
I've never bitched about the china and snare being locked in 4/4, so how can I complain about the vocals hanging there too? I don't know the answer to that, but they're f**king LOUD.
I'll buy it, but I think I'm over it. I'll always be a Bulb kid though.

 Re: New Periphery album.
I sounded extra negative. I'm QUITE excited for this record. It's just been so long, and ANOTHER singer? I meant that last guy wrote these new parts and went on tour and everything? They so racist.

Bulb IS Periphery. There really is no band without him, I don't care how many guitarists you have.

He's gotta be sick of these songs by now. I just hope he puts out an official Bulb record.

 Re: New Periphery album.
I did think he'd probably be sick of these songs by now. I dunno are you sick of Item Room? I don't think I'll ever by sick of playing Boomer Kuwanger.
Anyways, I know there's A LOT of songs that were going to be Periphery songs . If this album isn't 80 minutes long, I'll be pissed. Not really. At all.

 Re: New Periphery album.
Alright, so between this thread, Dan's hoodie, and some "sounds like Periphery" things I'd been seeing, I've been seeing this name alot, so I decided to check these guys out. They're awesome.. But, whats the story? I can't find a single place anywhere to buy CDs or even MP3s of their stuff. The postings on here made it sound like they're really old.. but I can't find any information about them.. Do you guys know them personally? They're in the DC area, so that seems highly likely. And they're unsigned.. so that makes me question even more, how they're so well known here. Either way.. help me out here, I wanna know more.. and find a place to get their songs! At best, all i could do was get a youtube-mp3 converter. Which works, mind you.. but I'd rather have the real stuff..

 Re: New Periphery album.
Just a band that's made a name for themselves over the years through the internet and the touring circuits. If anything they've only had demos for sale on tour I believe, and a proper studio album is finally coming in April. Bulb has been around for a while (he's even done some game covers) with various projects of his own but this group is his biggest brain child.

 Re: New Periphery album.
And this guy Bulb spook's talking about is really Misha Mansoor, who is one of Periphery's guitarists. He also engineered the drums for Animals as Leaders, among many other things.

 Re: New Periphery album.
ah alright, so definitely underground stuff. Well that makes me feel better for never hearing of them.. but also, worse because that means their stuff will be impossible to find! Heh, ah well. I will likely bother people for tracks they might have.. and continue siphoning off youtube.. Edit: I just got Ibby to send me this page: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default ... dID=147108Yeah, i'll be grabbing these all night.. consider me a fan.
