 Re: New Periphery album.
I'd buy it if I didn't already have the hoodie.
Also that's like the 5th recording of a 4 year old song. I like Jake Veridikas screaming on it better.
Also I think their myspace would look better if they had more instances of their logo.

 Re: New Periphery album.
True to that, but I actually enjoy all the different versions of Light amongst the other tunes. Such a great song. Also sorry for making it sound like they actually had a brand new tune to check out. Of course the hardcores would know the difference. And Dan there's other pre-order options on the site there, pretty much any combo you can think of with what they're selling so you can get a hoodie-less deal.

 Re: New Periphery album.
Wow- bulb is kickass. I dig the final fantasy arpeggio cover too. We've got a song on our new record that has arpeggios that always remind me of FF in 9/8. Anyway, I remain jealous of the way Periphery's career is going. Despite the fact that they've gone through so many line-up changes they still are becoming a premier prog-metal band without even having a record out!

 Re: New Periphery album.
Either way, I'm still stoked for the album to come out. I wanted to see them in Toronto while I was touring there, but the venue was at full capacity by the time I got there. So choked.

 Re: New Periphery album.
Itunes version to include no vocals? PLEASE? This is the best track so far though. s**t blasts. It's still a meat tenderizer to the brain, and I'm buying it.

They're doing it for every copy? That's a good idea.

 Re: New Periphery album.
not dumping on spencer, i prefer chris. they had a masculine quality to them and his screaming came from the bowels of HELL.
as for the album, it's blastable on car stereos. (especially the instrumental, i cant sing along well with the vocals)
...unsuspecting black people in baltimore city know first hand. lol
my favorite tracks right now are the walk, icarus lives, and buttersnips for the sheer blastability in the padre's car.
edit: i talk a bit too much

 Re: New Periphery album.
I've been trying my damndest to find the instrumental record, and I can't. I bought the album! Anyone wanna be dear? Before I even knew it was available, it was sold out. I like about half the tracks with vox, and I like Chris's vox better too.

 Re: New Periphery album.
Really digging this album. Although the syncopated djent is a huge part of their sound, these guys are more than just meshuggah with melody over the top.

 Re: New Periphery album. (necro)
New Periphery record. http://themusic.com.au/listen/all/periphery-two/Gotta say, I'm pleasant surprised. For some reason I thought I knew what this would be. I was confident it would HIT HARD, but this is a rock record!! Dig the song writing and a lot of variety imo. Singer dude seems to have a pretty good synergy with the rest of the guys on this one. I figured it would be a poppy album, but I'm liking that whole thing more than I thought I would. It's REEEEALLY pop - wondering what the big djent fans are thinking so far. Couple of filler tracks, but do like! Those Luck as a Constant riffs are f**king GREAT!!! It's like sikTh showed up as a guest. Lots of little surprises in here.
