My friend Evan convinced me to have some Pisgah Pale Ale a couple weeks ago. It was quite tasty. I haven't been drinking much at all lately, but I plan to return to it fo' shizzle. Sorry, but only a few of you will be able to find this one, I'm guessing.
Oh. And. Weird beard.

I am still quite enamored with the PBR... however I have picked up a taste for the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar... which is the most amazing beer I have EVER imbibed. Pic for reference.

Wooo, one of my local packies carries a good portion of the Rogue line. I have yet to try any of their beers other than Shakespeare Stout. Something about a beer being named "Shakespeare"... I just had to buy it. And it was quite good.

My work carries the Shakespeare Stout, Dead Guy Ale (another favorite), and the Santa's Private Reserve (seasonal). The other good ones are the Chocolate Stout, and Kell's Irish. I don't think I have ever tried the American Ale or whatever.
Needless to say, I loooooooove my Rogue.
Edit: Holy crap! I just went to the and there are a LOT of brews I have missed out on. The east coast can be a bummer sometimes.. and this is definately one of them.

I tried this Bass that E was talking about. It's distinctive, but it's kind of thin-tasting to me, whatever that means. Overall a decent brew, but I'll take a Köstritzer or Guinness instead.

Haha.
On the rare occasion that I get upset with my wife I usually just lock myself in our music room and play my guitar loudly for awhile.

 Re: B33R
I live in beer town USA and it's still my default, my "safe" beer, if you will. I'm not a huge beer fan, so when I'm unsure of the other choices I reach for Yuengling Ale. It's cheap and tasty. PBR is the most popular cheap beer here, but it gives me a headache.

 Re: B33R
Yuengling is a great standby beer. I usualy go for Sam Adams Boston Lager if I can't find something I like. I just stocked my fridge with some Blue Point summer ale, Saranac's summer sampler, and some other local brew that I can't remember off the top of my head. Lighthouse Ale I think.
poop is right though. Local microbrews tend to be real strong, so start with something good, but not shitty.

Actually I did like fish and coffee the first times I tried them. The only taste I can remember having to 'acquire' is for certain vegetables.

 Re: B33R
So what kind of beer did you have?
Sorry. I have not tried that, but you should try something else.

 Re: B33R
I'm unfamiliar with that myself. Also, Belgian beers can be good. Heineken is a good starter, but I prefer Stella Artois over it.

 Re: B33R
I had some really good home-brewed beer while I was in Seattle. I don't drink a lot, but I have tried at least a dozen different beers, and this was probably the best.

 Re: B33R
I've returned to Irish ales for a while. I can't find Caffreys any more (I hear they no longer import it), so i'm sucking on Kilkenny instead. There's something mystical about waiting for your beer to settle before you drink. mmmmmmm....creamy
