Am I a bad person if I'm more worried about gas prices skyrocketing?

Anything's a good reason to jack gas prices.

I'm talking relative to the general unrest in the middle east. :)

Why is the U.S. government pushing for Mubarak's resignation? I would have thought they would have an interest in a stonewall political ally that stands in the way of Islamic government. Are they trying to shake out on the winning side when the dust settles?

It seems like a lot Egyptians want him out. Thirty years of presidency is a long time...

I'm impressed at what the citizens have accomplished in such a short time. Getting the military on their side was pretty f**king amazing. Its sad, though, that the Murbarak supporters, (i.e the police), have resorted to killing as a form of "protest", where the rest of the populace was able to force change without needing weapons.

Mubarak just made a speech, everyone was expecting him to step down. He basically just spent about 20 mins talking about how the Egyptian people hurt his feelings when they called him bad names.

At least the military is on the side of the citizens. Now hopefully things will settle until the elections.

I kinda chuckled at how Gadhafi said he wants to be a martyr. A martyr for what, tyranny and fear? His cabinet is crumbling around him, hell even their ambassador to the United Nations has stepped down and said that it has to end.

Or how fighter pilots have defected as opposed to bombing their own countrymen. Gadhafi is insane, yo.

The best pilot so far is the one who actually CRASHED his plane instead of bombing civilians.

Yeah, but he parachuted out before it went down, so that doesn't count. Pussy.

He still wrecked a multi-million dollar aircraft, that's pretty manly.

So Qaddafi is playing chicken with his own country, it seems. If he's not in control of Libya, well he's just going to blow up Libya.

This motherf*cker should just surrender or flee. He's threatening the USA with his plan to blow the whole country up if they were to put their feet in Libya.

Yet, I'm fearing that the end of Qaddafi will very quickly result in the invasion of my country with people from Libya and other Middle East countries.

I really think about getting the hell out of my country as I have the opportunity to work abroad.
