the other day I went to this sports bar called Basic http://www.basicbar.net/ because I was told the burgers there are real american burgers, no mass produced stuff ......they are indeed the best burgers I ever had. The owners are 3 guys from California, and there are lots of americans hanging in there... now I know where to get my cheeseburgers ...yummmy

The only redeeming value is the crust with spices on it... but any fucktard with a canister of seasoning can pull that off..

The key is not expecting quality out of a $6 extra-large.

But what I want right now is this

Post Re: Things You Want Thread
I'm in the market for a new hoodie, but I'm a picky son of a bitch (story of my life). Here is an email to ThinkGeek

I'll also illustrate for you guys with pictures the differences:

EMAILTOTHINKGEEKFROMOMNI wrote:
Alright, this is a really old question actually. Many moons ago I ordered both the WTF? and the Caffeine hoodie. Both have been staples of my wardrobe for 7 and 5 years respectively. The WTF? hoodie is beaten all to hell and is no longer offered by the site, the Caffeine hoodie has got some life left in her.

Enough backstory about how much I love these hoodies. I notice that your new hoodies are both lighter, 9.1 oz instead of 11 oz, and they have the stretchy tight cuffs. I know you've switched over permanently and it saddens me. You still have some bleed over of the old hoodies, I was wondering a couple of things. Do you have any plans to offer the current hoodie selection in the heavier material with the looser cuffs (AKA: The perfect hoodie)? Or can you tell me what clothing company or supplier you use to get those thicker hoodies so I might be able to track one down that I can nab? No offense to the Geek or the CodeMonkey hoodies at all, but orange is offensive to my eyes and 2 of my friends have the Geek hoodie. Also, the WTF? sweatshirt i'm going to probably frame and lament its death for years because you don't sell that one anymore (if you have any hidden in a box somewhere that are XL or XXL you shout back at me though!)

Sorry to be so precise, I just hate hoodies with tight cuffs and hoodies that are too thin. I have t-shirts that heavy :-P

Thanks in advance!
-Matthew

Also, I own two 'good' hoodies like this (WTF? and the one pictured below):
http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/hoodies/5837/

They have very short cuffs that are fairly loose. They are the perfect (for me) hoodie weight because they aren't as thin as a t-shirt like so many of the zip-up and "athletic" hoodies the scene kids wear are. They're like .... perfect.

Versus, IMO, shittier lightweight tighter cuffed hoodies like this:
http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/hoodies/8cd1/

I don't like the feeling of my shirt clinging to my wrists while I'm wearing it, I like my openings to be a bit looser on my extremities. I also hate pants and longsleeve shirts because of how much they cover up, so when I wear a hoodie, I don't want it to feel like I'm wearing long sleeves other than the warmth I'm getting.

PS: I didn't know where to put this, so I guess... things I want thread...? If anyone knows of any other places with "good" hoodies lemme know. All I can find are sites with the tiny thin zipups and pullovers that are no different than longsleeve tshirts.

You have to post the reply to that email. I'm intensely curious.

I don't love zipup hoodies myself, but my current one is. It's not so bad. It's nice having some control over the temperature other than on and off. I do miss the kangaroo pocket though.

Hello!

Thanks for contacting ThinkGeek! I have forwarded your email on to our t-shirt/hoodie/apparel merchant. I am very glad to hear that you enjoyed our WTF? and Caffeine hoodies so much! If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know!

PS I agree, tight cuffs are annoying!

If I could find a zipup, I wouldn't mind it if it didn't have the tight cuffs. I will not take a substitute for either. I'll find a sweatshirt with both loose short cuffs and a thickness that I want. Or I won't be buying a new one, I'll repurchase a couple Caffeine hoodies and make them last longer. But I'd rather not repeat a hoodie I already have that isn't dead yet, unless function of the clothing dictates I do.

There it is, like a 2 second sentence for all that thought and effort.

BUT IT LEAD ME TO THIS:

These are those hoodies I requested, I just need to figure out a way to get some stuff screenprinted on them. First up is probably going to be this on a "Smoke" background, if I can get the author's permission:

Then I'm taking suggestions for the other, I think I'll get a brick colored one.

I've always wanted a "geeky" shirt from thinkgeek or whatever, but I've never really had the extra money to get one (I generally get most of my clothes from the 90% off rack at Kohl's). I think I might have finally outgrown that desire, though, because after looking through the girls' shirts on the site, most of them seem kind of obnoxious now.

I'd still like a new Metroid Metal shirt someday though. :<

PS: In case my secret santa is reading, I take a girls size small. :>

PSS: ...But don't feel pressured to get me that if you can't afford it, especially since whoever gets me has to get something for Hale too.

I've gone through similar feelings. Mostly because going to nerd school has given me insight into what types of people wear those shirts. Obnoxious people. I still like the picketing zombie shirt though.

Although speaking of Secret Santa and shirts, I'm wearing my L4D special infected shirt now. Boosh.

There are gems on every site, but for the most part I cherry pick the ones I REALLY REALLY like from the sites that are pseudo vague. No need to get obnoxious while you rep your city. You know. Keep it real.
