I am watching "The League" right now because it looked funny. I had no idea that Jon LaJoie and Paul Scheer were in it.

:) It is pretty damn funny so far.

Currently reading Dragon Age: the Stolen Throne. It was written by David Gaider, the lead writer of the game. This book and it's companion The Calling are prequels to the game.

I got this book for christmas called "What Every Body is Saying" by Joe Navarro, and its a book on understanding and deciphering body language. Its pretty good so far, except all I've learned is just how to tell when people are stressed out.
Nothing on how to seduce women yet

Post Re: What are you currently reading?
Double Post for new info.

Just finished reading Masters & Johnson on Sex and Human Loving. Incredibly fascinating to me, and really informative, but now the information in it is like 25 years old, so I'm curious to see how much sex has changed in the last quarter century. Now I'm reading Everything's Eventual by Stephen King. It's a collection of short stories, and some of them are scary and some are just normal kinds of short stories. So far, pretty good. My new years resolution was to read more books, and so far, I'm succeeding.

I just finished reading Arcade Mania by Brian Ashcraft (of Kotaku fame) it's a great read if you're in any way curious about Japanese arcades. It's has chapters dedicated to each different type of cabinet, from UFO Catchers to the new card-based machines.

Just Finished American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Its pretty good, but when it comes to books about "Gods" among people Roger Zelazny's Lord of Light takes the cake.

Starting on Stephen King's Under the Dome. I haven't read a book of his in years. Not since Insomnia. It's like revisiting an old friend. I love his writing style and the characters he creates.

I finished Mass Effect: Revelation a couple of weeks ago, now I'm reading ME: Ascension. I also read The Splendid Magic of Penny Arcade between those. It's a decent read if you're into PA, but if you've been following the comic for a long time then you'll probably know the majority of the info already.

I'm halfway through Revelation already. God, it's a short read. Did you like it? It took me this long to realize that it's written about the Capt. Anderson in the game. I felt so dense. :shot: Is Ascension any good?

It's good but I don't know yet if it's better than Revelation.

I thought Revelation was the better of the two books. The third book, Redemption, comes out in July.

I finished G.K. Chesterton's The Man Who Was Thursday a few weeks ago... I only had heard about if from playing Deus Ex. It was a pretty good read.

Currently reading Mass Effect: Retribution. Best of the three books so far.

EDIT: Just finished it. Definitely the best of the three. Dark, and slightly disturbing.

I'm slowly making my way through "Foundation and Empire" by Isaac Asimov. Not because it's bad, but because I don't read as much as I used to. I finished "The Penultimate Truth" before that, and I'm thinking about starting "The Terror" on the side. I've also been floating somewhere in the "Second Space Wolf Omnibus" for a year or more. Also, I started "Relativity" a few months ago. I'm an erratic reader.

Oh yeah! Just remembered. I've been halfway through Karen Traviss's "The 501st" for over a year (or something long). I just reeeeeeeaaly wanted to stretch it out, being the last book I guess.

(And I bought more books. Maybe I really like the idea of reading)

The Terror is pretty good. The suspense is nice and chilly.

I'm halfway through "A Clash of Kings" by some fat guy named George "Ratface Rimjob" Martin. It's the second in a series that, four volumes in, will likely never be finished. I'm really enjoying it, and so far it's living up the excited recommendations I've been given over time for it, but I'm afraid of the inevitable drop into despair that apparently most fans experience once completing the fourth book: the fifth in the series, "A Dance With Dragons," has had its publishing delayed indefinitely for about 5 years and people are convinced that the fat, old author will eat himself to death before it's finished.

That sounds plausible... and scary

I think that's the reason I'm not finishing "501st", because it wasn't intended to be the last book in the series. The author got her contract with Lucas cancelled, and now some other person is going to finish it, but probably turn it into a crappy spin-off series. It isn't the best sci-fi I've ever read, by far, but it's damn good for a 2000's Star Wars series (I like pre-prequel SW novels, everything is more mysterious). I think being a big fan of Boba Fett and the RepCom game helps too.

I think it's still based around the core concept of touching genitals.

Turns out, teens are less promiscuous now, but have more sex overall - more sex with fewer partners. Also, more and more people are either developing fetishes, or being more open about them. Possibly due to the internet? Interesting class. I also found out HOW birth control works. interesting stuff

Now, I'm TRYING to read catch 22, but kinda failing, because of other schoolwork.

I finished The Bell Jar, V for Vendetta, and Watchmen all within the past few days. I'm in the middle of Art and Fear by David Bayles and Ted Orland.

The Bell Jar was uncomfortable to read in the middle, but all in all I'm glad I read it.

Also, my summer reading has included Jane Eyre, Jarhead, and Film as Film by V. F. Perkins, all of which I recommend.

Finished up all the Scott Pilgrim books. So good. It kinda helps to have voices for most of the characters and a soundtrack to go with it all.
