 Re: B33R
I had all the Asheville beers. I can say that the aversion to hops has faded over time.
I think I might have burned off the taste buds for bitter when I started eating Thai food.

Hopslam. Also: Sierra Nevada announced today it will open a brewery in Henderson (12 miles south of Asheville).

 Re: B33R
Henderson, or Hendersonville? Hendersonville is south of Asheville, Henderson is north of Raleigh.
Asking for a friend.

 Re: B33R
I got some Asahi like Nobuo said he likes. It's rather good. Kind of like an American lager but more bitter.

 Re: B33R
That S-N brewery news was all over the radio this morning. You're ahead of the curve!
I expect no less than 300 articles/letters to the editor of the Mountain Xpress from or on behalf of all the small breweries here.

 Re: B33R
I had Asahi in Japan and didn't like it very much. My palette has expanded quite a bit since then, so I wonder if I would like it more now.
@JewBoy: drinking Berryweiss is like drinking carbonated, alcoholic fruity pebbles. It's the only beer my wife will drink.

 Re: B33R
I had a Berry Weiss at MAGFest (after trying it at the Epcot Food & Wine Fest). It tastes pretty good! I haven't tried a Leinenkugel I didn't like.

 Re: B33R
After moving to the midwest I've become a big fan of German-inspired wheat beers. They're EVERYWHERE.

 Re: B33R
So now you need to go full German and have BANANENWEIZEN. Hefeweizen and banana juice. Why it's unavailable in the States is anyone's guess.

 Re: B33R
Ordered a Rogue Chcolate Stout for my girlfriend for V-Day from the distributor down the road. It comes with a glass, and in a nice wooden gift box. On the subject of German beer, the same distributor has Paulaner in 1L cans. It's real good if you've never had. 7% ABV if I remember correctly.
